Countly Flex Is Evolving: Faster Analytics, Clearer Capabilities, and More Ways to Get Support

Countly Flex Is Evolving

Countly Flex was introduced to give teams a more flexible way to build their product analytics stack around their needs.Over the past two years, we have seen teams use Flex in different ways: some needed powerful analytics infrastructure, some wanted experimentation and personalization, some needed deeper data exploration, and others wanted more guidance during setup, rollout, or optimization. That feedback has helped shape the next evolution of Countly Flex.Today, we are updating Flex to make it faster, clearer, and better aligned with the analytics goals teams are working toward. What is changing in Countly Flex? This update focuses on four key changes:

  1. A much faster analytics engine behind Countly
  2. The removal of the free tier
  3. New capability-based add-on bundles
  4. New one-time services and support tiers

Together, these changes make Flex more focused for teams that want to use Countly as a serious analytics foundation, not just a reporting layer.

A faster engine behind your analytics

The biggest upgrade to Countly Flex is performance. We are introducing a much faster engine behind Countly’s analytics infrastructure, designed to help teams explore, query, and act on data with less friction. As products grow, analytics needs become more complex. Teams ask more detailed questions. Data volumes increase. Segments, funnels, cohorts, experiments, and behavioral queries become part of everyday decision-making.This update is designed to make that experience faster and smoother, so teams can move from question to insight without unnecessary delays.Whether you are analyzing retention, investigating user journeys, monitoring feature adoption, or exploring raw behavioral data, the updated Flex engine gives you a stronger foundation for product analytics at scale.

Moving away from the free tier

As part of this update, we are removing the free tier from Countly Flex. This change allows us to focus our investment on the teams using Countly Flex as a core part of their analytics infrastructure. Instead of maintaining a free tier, we are putting more energy into performance, reliability, packaging, services, and support. For new teams evaluating Countly, this also makes the path clearer: Flex is now focused on organizations that need a scalable, supported analytics platform with the flexibility to add the capabilities that matter most to them.

New capability bundles built around analytics goals

We are also repackaging Flex add-ons into clearer capability bundles.Previously, teams could select individual add-ons based on specific features. With this update, we are grouping related functionality into bundles that better reflect what teams are actually trying to achieve with their analytics. The new bundles are:

  • Adaptivity Capability
  • Intelligence Capability

Each bundle brings together features that support a broader product analytics goal.

Adaptivity Capability: Build adaptive, hyper-personalized product experiences

The Adaptivity Capability is for teams that want to turn analytics into action. It helps product and growth teams create experiences that respond to user behavior, support experimentation, and continuously improve engagement and retention. With Adaptivity, teams can:

  • Run A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Trigger personalized experiences based on user behavior
  • Collect and act on user feedback
  • Continuously optimize engagement and retention

This capability is designed for teams that want to move beyond static product experiences. With Adaptivity, you can test what works, personalize journeys, gather feedback at the right moments, and keep improving based on real user behavior.

Intelligence Capability: Go deeper with data, analysis, and AI-powered insights

The Intelligence Capability is for teams that want to investigate their data more deeply and uncover insights that standard reporting may not reveal. It gives product, data, and analytics teams more advanced ways to understand user behavior, identify patterns, and explore opportunities. With Intelligence, teams can:

  • Use advanced segmentation and cohort analysis
  • Track funnels and uncover behavioral insights
  • Explore and query raw data directly
  • Leverage AI to uncover patterns and opportunities

This capability is designed for teams that need deeper answers. Whether you are analyzing conversion paths, comparing cohorts, investigating retention, or using AI to surface opportunities, Intelligence helps you get closer to the “why” behind your product data.

New services and support options

We know that not every team needs the same level of help. Some teams are comfortable relying on community support through Discord. Others need more direct guidance, especially when implementing Countly, scaling analytics, setting up complex use cases, or aligning teams around data. That is why we are adding one-time services and support tiers to Countly Flex. These options give teams more ways to get help when they need it, whether that means expert implementation support, analytics setup, technical guidance, optimization help, or ongoing assistance beyond the community. This makes Flex more adaptable to different team sizes, maturity levels, and operational needs.

Why we are making these changes

Countly Flex has always been about flexibility. This update keeps that principle, but makes it easier for teams to understand what they need and choose the right path. The updated Flex model is designed to help teams:

  • Get faster answers from their analytics
  • Choose capabilities based on goals, not isolated features
  • Build more personalized and adaptive product experiences
  • Go deeper into data with advanced analysis and AI-powered insights
  • Access expert services and support when community help is not enough

In short, Flex is becoming more focused, more powerful, and easier to align with the way modern product teams work.

The next chapter of Countly Flex

This update marks the next chapter for Countly Flex. After two years of learning from how teams use it, we are making Flex faster, clearer, and more supportive of the outcomes that matter most: understanding users, improving experiences, increasing engagement, and making better product decisions. With a faster analytics engine, clearer capability bundles, and new service and support options, Countly Flex is ready for teams that want to do more with their product data.Countly Flex is evolving so your analytics can evolve with you.
